In contrast to the Synoptic Gospels, John addresses the Incarnation from a theological perspective rather than simply a historical narrative perspective. His prologue is rich in doctrine, and reaches back into eternity past to provide for us the proper starting point of the incredible story of the incarnation of the Word.
