Cleveland Chinese Evangelical Church

A Chinese Bible Study group has been meeting in the facilities of Cedar Hill  Baptist Church since the late 1960's. In 1993 it was incorporated as the  Cleveland Chinese Evangelical Church. With like faith as its host, it  has continued to operate as an independent, "church within a church"  organization. Through its worship services, Bible studies and gospel  meetings, many are brought to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus and  become baptized.
Due to our proximity to University  Circle, we attract many Chinese scholars and students who work, study  and live nearby. The Lord has used this church as an effective gospel  domicile as well as a place for new Christians to grow in their faith.
Our  regular meetings include Friday night Bible study following a potluck  supper from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. On Sunday we hold a morning worship service  at 10:50 am. Other meetings include a prayer meeting every other week,  and a special monthly meeting which has an evangelistic emphasis. A more  recent program called English as a Second Language (ESL) was  established in 2001 in cooperation with Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
We  welcome all truth-seekers as well as Christian brothers and sisters to  attend all of our meetings. You do not have to be Chinese to attend.  Many of our meetings are conducted in a bilingual format. For further  information or to arrange for a ride, please call Peter Tang (216)  464-2527 or Jian Wang (216) 382-7049.
