GRATEFUL FOR THE HEAVY HAND OF GOD

Feb 7, 2021    Larry Green    Psalm 32

Psalm 32 is the second of the seven penitential psalms (6, 32, 38, 51, 102, 130, 143), and the first of the thirteen “Maskil” Psalms (“for instruction”). It shares its background with Psalm 51, and was written by David some time after being confronted by Nathan for his egregious and willful sin. Following an extended season of silence and suppression, David finally acknowledges his sin and experiences the blessedness of brokenness.
