Daniel 10 provides the introduction and setting for the final vision given to Daniel which occupies chapters 10-12. Daniel is now in his mid eighties. A small remnant have returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple, but their work has been hindered and halted. Following a season of mourning near the Tigris River, Daniel is provided with the final vision, including a rare glimpse into the war waged in the heavenly realm.
